What is a Poker Run?

 

A Motorcycle Poker Run is usually a fundraiser. It is an organized ride over a planned route that has checkpoints. A poker run is not a race or rally and it is not based on time or speed but rather on the total draw of playing cards picked up at each checkpoint. The driver and passenger with the best hand at the end of the run wins and other hands are judged 2nd and 3rd with trophy's and/or prizes awarded. Traditionally, a meal is provided at the end for all of the participants.
